Photograph of the legendary 1969 Sunset Strip billboard designed Roland Young for the release of the Beatles Abbey Road LP. Selected from Robert's museum exhibition and book: Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards on the Sunset Strip. (Billboard photo by Ian Macmillan) Archival pigment print from an edition of 15, printed on 100% cotton fine art paper with a matte finish, signed and numbered in the lower margin by the artist. Print ships rolled, but framing options are available. Robert Landau’s work has been exhibited in several museum exhibitions including: American Advertising Museum in Portland, Arco Center for Visual Arts in Los Angeles, Bartlesville Museum in Oklahoma, Getty’s Pacific Standard Time in Los Angeles, High Desert Museum in Yucca, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, National Theater in London. Robert’s photography is also in the permanent collection of the Oakland Museum and is on permanent display at LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal. His photographs have hung in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the US and Europe. His photographs have appeared in the pages of AMERICA PHOTO, FORBES, GEO, HORIZON, INTERVIEW, IN STYLE, NEWSWEEK, TIME, VOGUE, GQ and numerous international publications. Since 2015, Valverde has been working on a neon light installation project in several countries, which she materialises through photography. The DREAM ART PROJECT Her portfolio “City Icons” in 2008 brought her work to public attention. A series about Iconic Monuments from Major cities like Paris, New York, Hong Kong, London, Dubaï… Writing with Neon brings together two passions for Anne Valverde: light and words thus incorporating her main medium of expression: Photography. Valverde brings artificial light to areas where electricity is absent, creating a dissonance in the landscape and an unexpected and dreamlike light, creating a new message, independent from preexisting signs and words. Valverde’s first message is "dream", as she invites the viewer to go past reality and reflect on open spaces for escape in a complex and tormented world. Some themes are recurring: an amused gaze on social media omnipresence, hyper-connectivity or even office language shortcuts.
